There are so many details to plan for your wedding day, it can be wildly overwhelming! Luckily, here at Drakewood Farm, we take care of a lot of those details so you don’t have to. We come together to plan a day that is individual to you and your future spouse, worthy of a beautiful and special day.
However, even all-inclusive wedding venues don’t always cover every single thing you might want to considering doing. Here are some ideas for you to further personalize your wedding day to be as unique to you and your partner as possible!
Decor
Guest book: Between Etsy, Cricut, and Pinterest, there are a lot of cool ways to take a simple guest book and make it special! Many couples also make it functional for their future home as something they can use as decoration. We see lots of different options that are interactive for guests and super personal to the couple!
Large signs: Often, couples will bring in personalized signs to display around the venue, including and not limited to, welcome signs, seating charts, relationship timelines, and ceremony instructions. These can help guests know where to go, which table to sit at, whether or not to have their phones or cameras out during your ceremony and even show special insight to you and your partner’s journey together!
Neon signs: Our venue has a couple different greenery walls that our couples love to have as part of their reception. Their favorite way to incorporate the walls is by bringing in a personalized neon sign of their now shared last name! It adds a sense of ownership of the day while being a fun way for guests to memorialize the day with a photo op.
Table Numbers: While we have a variety of options for table numbers, sometimes it can be fun to bring or make your own! Sometimes they aren’t even numbers, but song titles or themed as places the couple have traveled to or breweries they have visited together. One of our favorite ways couples have personalized their table numbers is to have pictures of themselves at the age of the table numbers.
Couple photos: We have various spaces we can hang and/or display pictures of your relationship together, which guests love to see! It’s a great way for guests to interact with you two as well as bond with your other loved ones attending your special day.
For the Guests
Favors: Do you and your fiancée have a favorite snack? Favorite place to visit? Or just something you want people to take home to remember your day? Favors are an easy way to send your guests home with something individual from you as a couple as a thank you for celebrating your union! We have seen hot sauces, boxes of matches, key chains, ChapStick, coffee beans, bottle openers, coffee mugs, honey jars, mini whiskey bottles, cigars, and so much more!
Signature drinks & bar signs: Here is a trend that everyone is slurping up right now! Literally. Creating your own drinks for the bar, and even signs that explain and name your drinks, is so fun for all of your guests! Naming them a “Mr. and Mrs.” is a classic option, but we have also seen couples name the drinks after their pets! It’s a cute way to involve your beloved fur babies without the stress of having them physically at your wedding.
Bonus!
Cake toppers: A great way to make the day just that much more special is by adding a personalized cake topper to your sweet treat! Whether it's a classic figurine modeled after the couple or your new last name atop the frosting, cake toppers are an adorable addition to your decor.
These are only a few ideas to make your day more YOU. There are so many ways to make your wedding special and personal.
